John Griffiths

Interested in the essence of landscape and the semi abstraction of images. Artists who have influenced him include Turner, Cezanne and Paul Henry. His work is highly textured and although previously working in watercolours he now concentrates mainly on mixed media and oils. Inspired by the rugged landscape of North Cornwall, Ireland and the dramatic and colourful landscapes of the Languedoc in southern France.
